Roofs can start to develop leaks due to several reasons:
Age: If the building in question was built a few years ago and no restoration procedures have been put in place and carried out, the condition of the roof will deteriorate with age.
Broken or missing roof tiles or slates: If vital bits of equipment that make up a roof is missing, it can cause water to make its way through the roof and into the property. Not only are slates/bricks used to finish the look of the property off, but they also act as a security guard to stop unwanted things going into spaces they shouldn’t be.
Poorly placed fixings: If nails which are used are not secured into the correct park of the roof, it can cause several issues. Missing the rafters in a roof means you have allowed a nail to invade into the roof space, offering a sure way for water ingress and leaks to run through.
Walking on your roof: Roofs are mostly resistant to a lot of things; however, they are not typically designed to be walked across and have excessive weight on them. Walking across your roof can result in the movement of the roof materials and cracks in the tiles.

Thermal imaging can facilitate repairs quickly, thoroughly and efficiently. It is much more cost effective than over conventional surveying methods.
