Introduction:
Our client was in the process of purchasing the Grade 2 listed property in Dorset. Keen to get a detailed and accurate survey, she actually contacted the local authority, and was advised by a Listed Building Officer LBO to use our services, which we understand was on the basis of a previous survey that we had undertaken, and our report that he had seen. The client successfully used our report to negotiate a reduction in the sale price, in order to cover the cost of the required recommendations.
Client Feedback:
Alpine Surveys produced a thorough and independent damp survey and report for us on an old Grade II listed property prior to purchase. They were very efficient and accommodating, particularly as we needed this survey in a hurry and even produced the report for us on a Sunday to achieve this. Sarah was so helpful in arranging the survey and kept us informed every step of the way. Totally independent and knowledgeable report recommending methods in keeping with a property of this age. Would thoroughly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you Alpine Surveys.

Introduction:
Our client requested an independent Damp Survey following the purchase of a proposed rental property. The property had been surveyed by a registered RICS Surveyor prior to the purchase. On arrival the client stated a couple of issues highlighted by the RICS Surveyor, however our detailed survey highlighted additional issues, defects, and areas of damp that were missed by the surveyor.
The client utilised our detailed report in an Arbitration Claim, and based on our report and findings, our client was awarded the full claim as detailed in her much appreciated review.
Client Feedback:
Prompt and courteous service from booking through to post-survey advice. Even agreed to have his report used in a case against the RICS surveyor who had failed to advise me on 2 problems in a full property survey. This ultimately went to independent arbitrators who awarded in my favour on both counts, directing the surveyor to pay me £3,000. I couldn't have done this without Mark's survey, report and post-visit advice. HUGE thanks to him! Well worth the investment Alpine Survey
Introduction
Our client in Buckinghamshire originally contacted us with developing damp issues in her 1850’s property. Since purchasing the property in January of 2017, damp has become more noticeable, and a detailed survey with true and accurate recommendations was required. The survey was undertaken commencing with a detailed assessment of the exterior, in order that we could ascertain levels of deterioration, and what defects could be increasing the risk or level of moisture penetration. Internally we utilised Relative Damp levels, Moisture Content levels, and Thermal Imaging to ascertain the extent and cause of any damp.
Client Feedback
"The surveyor arrived at the time specified and took the trouble to ensure that the house remained as clean and tidy as it had been when he arrived. He took time to explain (in layman' s terms so the information was clear) what he was doing, what had caused the problem and gave good advice on how to solve it and how to find a suitable builder."
Introduction
We were contacted by our client in Somerset, who had been experiencing issues with damp in her late 1800’s property. When the property was purchased, the client was aware that damp was an issue, however she was not aware of the extent, or the causes of the damp. Initially she sought advice from a few damp proofing companies, all of which tried to sell various damp proofing remedies and products. Not convinced with the advice given, the client decided to seek independent advice, and contacted Alpine Damp. A thorough survey was undertaken, and the extent and causes of damp were assessed and proved.
The report can be seen below, and beneath the report you will see the feedback left by our client, which has been verified by Checkatrade, and which can be found along with over 160 other customer feedbacks on our Checkatrade page.

Client Feedback
“A very professional firm. I found them reliable and honest in my dealings with them. The price they quoted me for the work carried out was the price they charged. The surveyor carried out a thorough examination of the interior and exterior of the property that I was looking to purchase. This was followed up the next day by the report electronically sent to me and detailing what had been surveyed with recommendations. I was impressed with their professionalism and expertise and would have no hesitation in using them for any further surveys I required in the future.”
